Ocean Park

Located in Santa Monica, Ocean Park was a full-scope, design-build renovation project positioned off the beach in front of the Pacific Ocean. Work done included architectural and interior design, permitting, and project management. This residence provides a provocative space for exhibiting fine art paintings while creating a quiet retreat. The master bath stems from a European bathhouse design: smooth-trowel finish concrete walls and hand-painted concrete tiles custom-designed by CG Design and fabricated in Vietnam. Addressing the issue of natural light and privacy, the design utilizes existing and new skylights and an extensive low-lighting system to illuminate the minimalist space. The pristine grays of concrete floors, white walls. and steel staircase act to channel ocean air and sunlight into the home.
